{data} will be hosted at Sortable’s office in Waterloo. Located on the fourth floor of the Bauer Building at 150 Caroline Street above Vincenzo’s and the Bauer Kitchen.

We encourage people to form teams with others on the day of the event, this is a great way to meet other local developers! If you don’t have a team we can help you find some teammates, or you can work solo.

The goal of the hackathon is to do something new with existing data, this could include social data, government data or scraped data (within fair use). Be creative and think outside the box.

Meet new people who like to hack on big data sets, learn new techniques for scraping, cleaning, and mashing data & new data sets you might never have heard of!
